Title: Sun Dial

Description: A sand sculptor named Joe Maize from Hawaii died last year and his final wish was that some of his ashes would be brought to his favourite projects around the world and mixed with the sand. It was thought fitting that in this sculpture in the center of Travenmunde sand park he could be layed to rest. Daniel placed his ashes in the planet earth and the urn which contained him was embedded along the orbit of the planets.
'It is interesting to put Joes ashes in a what he would have called an 'Artsy fartsy sculpture' I'm sure he would see the funny side. Its nice that although we bury him in the sand we are also sending his ashes into space. Bye joe',Daniel
